Injury Prevention Program
The Violence and Injury Prevention Program (VIPP) is dedicated to increasing the safety of residents within the six-county area. To promote safe behaviors, we participate in several programs and activities. We work with local high schools to encourage buckling up and safe driving behaviors, such as avoiding distracted, drowsy, aggressive, and impaired driving. To promote correct installation of car seats, we have 4 certified child passenger restraint technicians. Free car seat checkpoints are offered throughout the six-county area, and are available in-office as well.

Helmet use while bicycling is a safe habit we encourage through bike rodeos and presentations. We work closely with Central Utah Safe Kids to encourage safety in the home and on the road, and with Central Utah Safe Communities to promote safe teen driving behaviors. We participate in Health and Safety Fairs to distribute educational materials to community members throughout the six-county area.
