Poison Prevention
To prevent and minimize adverse health effects from a poison exposure, we work with the Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC).   The UPCC is a 24-hour resource for poison information, clinical toxicology consultation and poison prevention education.

We provide educational materials at health and safety fairs, provide educational presentations to school nurses, senior citizens, and community members. Central Utah Safe Kids also offers poison prevention education, and we work closely with them to prevent child poisonings as well.

To find out more about Poison Prevention, contact your local county office or visit http://uuhsc.utah.edu/poison/ or http://www.safekidsutah.org/.
